Last updated: October 7, 2026

AmbyPen is a free screen-annotation app for Windows made by Ambside. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it — in short: nothing leaves your computer.

What AmbyPen does not do

• It does not collect, sell or share personal information.
• It has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking.
• It does not send your drawings, screenshots or recordings anywhere.

What stays on your computer

• Screenshots and screen recordings are saved only to the folders you choose (by default Pictures\AmbyPen and Videos\AmbyPen). Screenshots are also copied to your clipboard.
• Settings are stored in %APPDATA%\AmbyPen\settings.json on your computer.
• The screen is captured only when you take a screenshot, record, or use the magnifier, and is processed locally.
